A German Shepherd Story - GSD Stinger

Please enjoy this wonderful little story sent in by one of our readers about her senior GSD Stinger.

This is Stinger, our 13 year old female German Shepherd who we like to call AquaDog or "the 7th buoy".

She earned these names because every morning when my husband goes out in his boat to slaalom ski on the ski course right in front of our dock, Stinger jumps in and swims after him.

GSD Stinger, the 7th Buoy

As the boat goes up and down through the course, she is convinced she can catch it, swimming down-course and up-course as the boat whisks by pulling my husband through the course.

A slaalom course has 6 buoys, and we consider her the 7th:) After a few years of this, we bought her a life-jacket to make her travels a little safer and now she is the bright yellow 7th buoy.

Total German Shepherd:

Thanks so much Ms. Watts for sharing your story with us about your water loving German Shepherd. It's so nice to hear about a wonderful and athletic German Shepherd but especially when it is a senior German Shepherd, well, that is even more special to us all here at Total German Shepherd.

And I'd like to take the time to say thanks to all our German Shepherd loving visitors for reading along with us as well. If you get the chance, please come back often to see what else is going on in our growing GSD community. BTW, please tell us also exactly what you think about the above story by leaving some interesting comments below.

So now it's all up to you. Share with us as you'd like, read the stories of others, watch a few German Shepherd videos and see what experiences others have had with their own GSDs.
