Ok... I feel for you all! I have an almost 5 month old who has a soft left ear. The right ear went up a month ago. His mom has the same thing. I think that it is genetic. I read somewhere that 1 out of every 50 German Shepherds have this problem. I have him on calcium, and I also add Knox geletine to his food twice a day. Just sprinkle some (about a teaspoon) on top. If his ear does not come up in the next 3 weeks, I will resort to having my vet tape it up, and see what happens. Either way... I love him, and at least I did not get him with the intention of him being a "show dog". He was a rescue from a litter of 8. How was I to know that I was picking the "clown dog"? Oh well... Neiko is a 14 week old GSD and his ears were standing up and the tips were folded backwards, then the right ear folded in the middle I am concerned that it is broken.......please help with advise.
