My Best Friend, My German Shepherd, Jess

by Mr. Lim
(TX)

Jess entered my life on 10/14/1998. He was extremely intelligent; he would inform me when I missed a phone call.

He would shake my hands with his right or left paws depend on my command. He would give me a morning and good night kiss every single day.

On Friday, 08/26/2011, I had to let him go due to serious health complications. He was my best friend and my defender till the last beat of his heart.

He taught me about love, forgiveness, friendship and loyalty. I will cherish him in the corner of my heart forever.

W. Lim

Honor is all mine
by: William Lim

Dear Lt. Ronald McCarty Ret.,

It is my honor to be able to communicate with you via this valuable website. I do think all those war dogs, mostly German Shepherd dogs, are under appreciated. I cried wholeheartedly after watching the war dogs documentary. Sorry for all your loss too. Thank you once again.

Best regards,
William

Heavonly Jess
by: Lt. Ronald McCarty Ret.

Mr. William Lim, it appears that Jess has done a wonderful job. This Total-German-Shepherd . com site provides us all with the opportunity to be brothers and sisters in our hours of need. I'm extremely proud having had the opportunity to discuss Jess & you and our future with our beloved German Shepherds.

As I leave you now I must add just one more item. I've lost 4 German Shepherds, a Lab and a wonderful cat. They are all in my heart and I often cry for them. Don't be afraid to cry, it helps. In my past line of work I witnessed many a tough man cry when his partner was killed or died. And I mean some tough men, excellent Officers.

I thank the owners of this website, Lt. Ronald McCarty Ret.

Heavonly Jess

Mr Lim, Jess entered your life on 10/14/1998 and he is still with you. As you look into your heart you remember the kiss that he would give you in the morning and good night kiss every single day.

On Friday, 08/26/2011 God called him home. He is no longer in pain from serious health complications. He is and always will be your best friend. Jess is however beyond just being a friend. Jess is your link to God and he will be awaiting you with open paws. Mr. Lim, you must understand you didn't own Jess. God gave you the privlage to care for Jess.

In your own words you stated," He taught me about love, forgiveness, friendship and loyalty".

In his own way God tests us. Some people learn and some don't. My friend, you have been blessed. Through Jess you learned four pillars of "LIFE".
(love, forgiveness, friendship and loyalty)
For you God's message was received and you will be rewarded a place in Heaven with Jess!

"JESS"
by: Linda A - St Louis

Sorry to hear about your Jess. Our pets are like family some people just to understand that a "dog" could mean so much to a person and it sad that they will never know that unconditional love. Your precious Jess is not suffering and he is with you in spirit and watching over you. God Bless and take care.
