Try checking with your vet to see if they can suggest anything that would help calm him down. You also need to try training to help get a handle on him. The longer you wait the harder it will be on both of you.

I don't understand why you don't want to get your GSD fixed but it will help your dog calm down to some degree - your boy is entering his teenage years and is filled with hormones - all new to him.

That's one reason he's hyper - but I can't suggest highly enough that you get your boy into a training class right away to help get him under control before it is too late.
