i am new at this and trying to do the right thing the puppy is 8 weeks old.

we feed ours chicken soup for the dog lover's soul. been feeding ours this food for 3 years now. about $43 a bag now.

Puppy Food

I have had my poor puppies on several different kinds of puppy food from
Royal Canin (large Breed) which is very good, quite pricey, and she loved it, to
Solid Gold, well basically anything I could find with out grains and fillers. with all that being said,
Purina still came out being the best I could come up with for the money. Purina makes a dog food that is for both puppy and adult called chicken and rice formula. because it's for both it slows down the growth rate of the pupps.

GSD Dog Food

Hello, I have a solid black male German Shepherd that will be a year old on the 11th. Whoo hoo! He weighs 85 pounds and the Vet said when he gets neutered he could weigh up to 100 pounds!!

Anyways now that he is almost a year old we feed him 2 times a day. We feed him 2 1/2 cups in the morning and 2 1/2 cups at night. We feed him Solid Gold Wolf Cub (puppy food) but next week we will change to Solid Gold Wolf King (adult food).

This brand is kind of expensive. A big bag is between $55 and $60. We go through it in about a little more than a month. It is a excellent brand of dog food, I highly recommend it.

It slows down their growth so that they dont grow too fast because that causes health issues. Purina and Eukanuba make them grow too fast. Solid Gold also makes their coat shiny, soft and healthy.

My dog LOVES his food, I guess it is very tasty. If you dont want to try that brand, my friend also has a male GSD and he eats
Nutro Puppy. Good luck!!
