im 65 and my family have never been without a dog in my family eversince. im from northeast india and its extremely difficult to adopt/buy alsations in this part of of india anyway i bought a german sheepherd pup from delhi and named him pounder. ifelt in love with the pup the moment he arrived home, unfortunately at about 8 months while he and i were playing his hind legs got entangled in hole and comletely fractured his legs.I became totally restless but anyway took him to the vet but to my astonishment the vet declared that amputation was the only way left. I refuse to accept defeat and approached a ortho{human) and cried my heart out to do something for my pounder and naturally the ortho got the shock of his and politely said that he being a ortho surgeon(human) it was against the law to operate on a dog about which he had no training but seing my love for the dog he reluctantly agreed to eperate in my house without guaranty of success, i agreed. so the ortho and i as his assistend modified the steel plate and calipers and operated under sedation and the opration was a total success. after a year the steel plates were removed and he started playing soocer with me for eight years but alas this year in january 2nd for no reason he jumped into my bed and gave a moaning sound and died in my lap and arms,Im heartbroken and am mourning him and so let me end for the moment, sorry friends.
