Change in Personality in My German Shepherd

my dog is about 16 MONTHS old she has started to cry a lot and looks sad. she has even started running off if the gates open which isn't like her.

i have noticed a warm dripping nose - do you think its something to be worried about? i am also due my first child - do you think that has something to do with her behaviour?
