This is Pyper. I had been wanting a German Shepherd for quite some time. I kind of gave up looking and months later went to the animal shelter to just look around. I turned around and there she was. She was really the only dog not barking. She just sat there appearing nervous. I immediately asked for information on her and was able to adopt her a few days later. When I finally brought her home she was very scared and it became obvious she had been abused. It didn't take long though for her to warm up to me and me to find out what these dogs are like. Goofy and loyal are how I would put it. She really is one of a kind.

Welcome to GSD Land

Thanks for posting the darling pics of Pyper. She looks like a real pip! You will soon run out of adjectives with her. I now have my second GSD, and although I have always been a dog owner, the Shepherd is a whole new species. Our first was an older adoption, and the shelter was glad to see him go to a good home. WE were the lucky ones! Two years with sweet, gentle Arthur, and we were hooked. Now we are proud "parents" of a three year old long hair GSD, and are constantly amazed at how intelligent, loyal, and funny he is. Enjoy Pyper; she is a real beauty, and will be a good friend for years.
