Why is my German Shepherd going crazy?

by Mike Sisk

I have 2 GSD's. They are mother and daughter. They stay outside during the day and sleep inside at night during winter and storms. The daughter, Ella, will be 2 on Christmas day.

She was just coming out of puppydom and settling down into an excellent companion. About a week ago she started whining alot, refusing to go outside in the morning, and " hiding " in a dark bathroom when she does come inside. She lays at the foot of the bed at night and whines.

So far she has not had a " full " 3 week cycle of esterus and I was thinking maybe she is just " PMSing ", but I am worried about her health if it is something else....can you help me?

Going Crazy???
by: Anonymous

You need to have your girl checked out. I've been told that some GSDs have problems with their cycles. First cancel out all medical problems then check out other causes.

Best of luck to you,

Maybe Its Her Eyes
by: Penny

Have you had your dog's eyes checked? She might of scratched one of her eyes while outside. Any signs of infection in her eyes? Is there an eyelash curling inward? Does she "paw" at her eyes or face?
